Huami. The company collaborated by Xiaomi and responsible for the firm’s smartwatches, confirmed that it will officially launch the GTS 2 Mini on December 1, 2020, that is, in just 4 days. This model is nothing more than a smaller version of the GTS 2 that was launched in China and that will probably arrive in Spain in the first half of next year.
Better design, similar features
Huang Wang, CEO of Huami, shared a small clip that at least advances the renewed design of the smartwatch and also added that the new wearable will be lighter, thinner, more refined, smaller and that it is aimed at young people, especially women. The teaser video also showed the watch’s curved display, which is likely an AMOLED display, surrounded by what appears to be a metal casing. It is to be imagined that its reduction in the screen will imply a slightly lower battery but it is something that we will not be able to confirm until next week.
Other things we know about the Xiaomi smartwach , thanks to it recently passing through the FCC, is that we will have different color variants of the new smartwatch, such as black, green and pink, along with matching straps. The device also supports 5 ATM water protection (up to 50 meters) and classic features like a heart rate sensor. What we do not know yet is whether the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini would also have a blood oxygen monitoring system, which is found in its older brother, the Amazfit GTS 2.
Inheriting features from the Mi Band 5, the watch will also hit stores with the PAI health assessment system, with support for multiple sports and different activity modes along with the classic customization of watch faces. The rest of the specifications of the Amazfit smartwatch , such as the capacity of the battery, or its price are still unknown at the moment.
Next Tuesday, December 1, we will have doubts and we will be able to complete the technical sheet of this new wearable device.
