The Asian manufacturer is one of the great references when it comes to buying a quality smartwatch. And, now the firm has just announced the new Amazfit GTS 2 and Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch.
The firm renews its acclaimed Amazfit GTS and Amazfit GTR with two new models that arrive full of surprises to gain a foothold in a sector dominated by the company with the bitten apple and its Apple Watch. Its main weapons? A very attractive design, a battery of functionalities and a scandal price.
Design, features and price of the Amazfit GTS 2
Regarding the Amazfit GTS 2 , we find a model that bears a great resemblance to the Apple Watch Series 5, just as it happened with its predecessor. Of course, the firm has added a series of new features so that this new version is notably superior to the previous model.
On an aesthetic level, we find a model that boasts aluminum and polycarbonate finishes. Say that this smartwatch is slightly smaller than its predecessor, so the autonomy has been slightly reduced. Now, it can last up to 7 hours on, or 25 hours using the built-in GPS.
Highlight its screen, formed by a 1.65-inch AMOLED panel to offer a great image quality. We do not know the RAM, or processor or internal storage capacity of the Amazfit GTS 2, but we can confirm that it will have Amazfit OS, so its good operation is more than guaranteed.
The main novelties of this watch? For starters, it has a blood oxygen meter (SpO2) which makes it ideal for high altitude sports. To this must be added the NFC chip that it integrates, in addition to having a microphone and speaker . This element will serve to activate Xiao Ai, Xiaomi‘s voice assistant that will arrive in Spain very soon. Obviously, the Amazfit GTS 2 is resistant to dust and water, making it an ideal product for practicing sports (it has detection of up to 12 different sports activities).
Regarding the price and release date of this Amazfit GTS 2 Smartwatch , it can already be purchased in China for 999 yuan, about 125 euros at the exchange. Now, you just need to confirm the availability in Spain and its official price in our country.

As for the Amazfit GTR 2, we find a smartwatch that bets on a more traditional cut, as you can see on its 1.39-inch OLED circular screen to achieve the best image quality. And in this case we do have a model with the same autonomy as its predecessor, lasting up to 14 days on.
As expected, this Amazfit GTR 2 is resistant to dust and water, in addition to having a microphone and speaker with which we can make or answer calls. And beware, although the firm has not confirmed its storage capacity, it seems that we can save music in MP3 format, so it is estimated that it will have 4 GB of internal memory.
Like the Amazfit GTS 2, this new smartwatch also has an NFC chip to make mobile payments, as well as a SpO2 sensor , Wi-Fi and bluetooth 5.0. You will not lack connectivity options.
