Adobe Illustrator for iPad: App Reservations Open

In Adobe‘s suite of professional applications we find a multitude of useful tools for video and photography editors, among others, but the popular Illustrator for illustrators also stands out. Although these tools have traditionally been focused on desktop systems such as macOS or Windows, we can see how they are increasingly adapted to new operating systems such as iPadOS. The well-known application for illustrators now arrives in the App Store of this system.

Illustrator pre-orders now available

Almost a year has passed since the Adobe MAX 2019 in which the company showed all the news and future news of its applications. Adobe Illustrator for iPad was one of them. At that time, the San José-based company showed the world the full power of its illustration app on Apple iPads, although it was already advised that it was still under development. In the video that we leave below we can see an example of what this application is capable of doing on apple tablets.

Finally, Adobe has already announced that this application officially arrives on the iPad on October 21 of this year, so we are just over a month away from being able to enjoy it. The company has taken advantage of these months to obtain feedback from its testers and its community, adding improvements to the application that will be seen in the final version. Taking advantage of the possibilities offered by the App Store to add reservations, Illustrator can now be reserved in such a way that those who do so can be the first to have the application when it is officially launched on October 21.

As we can see in the Illustrator tab in the App Store, it will be compatible with iPadOS 13 and later , so there will be many devices compatible with it. Although the download will be free, it is already noted that it contains in-app purchases, which will be related to the subscription packages that Adobe offers to all those who want to enjoy its excellent suite of tools. Something that has caught our attention is the language in which it appears, having only English, French, German and Japanese, although we suspect that other languages will be added, including Spanish.

Waiting for a better Photoshop on iPad

Almost a year ago, also coinciding with the dates of the Adobe MAX 2019, we were able to attend the long-awaited arrival of Photoshop for iPad. This is probably the most popular photo editing application in the world thanks to its powerful tools. However, the heavy users of this application on other platforms deeply regretted that many of the functions present in Mac and Windows were not available on the iPad, something that unfortunately has not been completely solved a year later.

We do not know specific information about the future news of this tool in iPadOS, but surely it will end up arriving in order to take full advantage of the powerful hardware that these Apple devices already offer. In fact, some accessories such as the Apple Pencil are also very designed to squeeze applications of this type and have much more precise actions. For this reason, we also hope that Illustrator knows how to handle this stylus well, which is increasingly used by professionals in iPad editing.
