The message new messaging features on Samsung
In many cases the process is made easier since Samsung is sending a notification to users with the message “New Messaging Features: Rich Communications”. This option what it tries is to make known to users this new function that many pass is unknown. We should not worry because there is no cost for us and we will not stop receiving the classic SMS.
To activate it in this case we just have to add our phone number and then press yes. In case we have previously rejected this option, we can activate it without any problem with the following steps that we are going to show you.
Steps to activate chat messages or RCS
Whether we have rejected the previous message or have not received it, we only have to go to the native message application in Samsung. In the upper right corner we will touch on the three points that appear to us and then select settings. Among the different options that will seem to us we will have to choose chat settings from where we will be able to configure RCS messages in One UI .
The most important thing is to activate the first option called Rich Communication settings which will give us access to the function and other options. It is convenient that we listen in the first option of the default messaging type chat messages to leave the SMS second. With these steps we can already start taking advantage of the function as long as our contacts also have it available.
How do you know if they already work?
To verify that chat messages already work, all we have to do is enter a contact who also has them activated on his mobile and look at the text that appears before starting to write. One of the following two messages should appear:
- Write chat message: Which means that they work and are activated both by us and the person who receives it.
- Enter message: Referring to classic SMS and therefore telling us that chat messages are not working.
