Since the inception of Windows 10 back in the summer of 2015 , the Redmond-based firm has imposed a certain pace of updates for the operating system. With all this, what it really achieves is that this is a sufficiently secure, reliable and updated software as possible; or at least he tries.
To do this, as most of you already know, unexpectedly sometimes it sends some patches or cumulative updates to correct specific things. Then we find Patch Tuesdays, mostly security updates that are sent out every month. This is something that occurs specifically on the second Tuesday of each month. And finally we find the feature updates, which are the most important.

In fact these are the largest and the Redmond firm sends two of these a year to compatible teams, as most of you will have already verified. What’s more, for a few days now we are participating in the gradual arrival of the second part of this year, we refer to the October 2020 Update. However, despite the software giant’s efforts, the issue of Windows 10 updates is one of its big problems. This is mainly due to the almost constant problems that some users around the world encounter when downloading or installing these. It is true that these are not problems that concern everyone, but it happens in almost all launches, and sometimes they are really serious problems.

Thus, at this time we could say that these updates and patches have become one of the great handicaps for the software company. These errors also become more important and widespread the greater the update sent. It is for this reason, something with which it has been speculated at times, that the company could perhaps consider sending a single feature update per year, instead of two.
Advantages of releasing only one Windows feature update per year
If we start to review the advantages that this would bring, to begin with saying that the failures would be minimized. This is because these would occur less frequently. But of course, that would not mean that they disappeared completely. Therefore, another benefit that we could mention here is that Microsoft would have more time to develop and test the new versions, so the risks of potential errors are reduced.
On the other hand, it must also be taken into account that the arrival of new functions would be more spaced in time, so that these could be more stable and reliable. And finally we could say that the confidence of many who still have doubts about migrating to Windows 10 from previous versions, would probably increase.
One thing we should keep in mind is that the bugs with these updates probably wouldn’t go away completely, something that won’t happen anytime soon. However, it is also true that it is more than possible that their appearance would decrease.
