This is a new list of malicious apps on Android, and what these apps can do in different categories is sobering. There is software that has been collecting user data for many years and infiltrating banking applications, not just computers. Although they are developed with very different concepts and the most varied ideas, all of them are malicious, and the worst of all is that some of them can appear in the Play Store.

A new report from cybersecurity researchers has revealed malicious apps on Android that can steal our data and even our money. Some of them have more than 50,000 downloads , although they have already been removed from the Play Store. However, you may have one of them because you have installed it and you did not realize it, so if this is your case, uninstall it as soon as possible. You have to bear in mind that, although some are more recent (the first 6 on the list), several have also been detected that have been affecting many users for some time.

What should you do?

These apps have already been removed from the Play Store , so you will have no problem installing them because they are gone. If you have recently installed an app from a website or APK outside the Play Store, it is worth checking if it is any of the aforementioned or running the antivirus to make sure they do not have viruses or any type of malware.

If you are going to install a new application , it is best to do it directly from the application store of your operating system, although as you can see it is not completely reliable at times since a malicious app can “sneak in”. Therefore, take a good look at the reviews and, although there are many positive ones, if there is one that indicates that it is a fraud or scam , it is best that you think twice before installing it.

However, if you have installed any of these 18 applications without realizing that it contained a virus, you should uninstall it. You have to go to the settings of your mobile , to applications, choose the corresponding app and hit uninstall.

Not only that, it is recommended that you change all the passwords of your device, and even of services that you have used from it. Also, it doesn’t hurt to reset your mobile to the factory to prevent threats from running in the background or that there is something you don’t detect. You can also try to pass a good antivirus system to detect threats and install one on your mobile so that it can discover possible malicious apps before they affect you. You have to keep in mind that, although this list is small, they are not the only apps that contain viruses and could be stealing from you.
