Your LEGOs will shine with their own light with this homemade mod with LEDs

Your LEGOs will shine with their own light

LEGO is practically synonymous with creativity and imagination . Despite the fact that there are hundreds of different sets of bricks, there are always users who need more, as is the case with this curious invention that allows you to create light-up LEGO pieces without having to connect cables. It all started as an experiment, but there are already a lot of people begging the Danes to take this project to production.

This is LEDO, the experiment that combines LEGOs and LED lights

The hundreds of LEGO sets that come onto the market each year do not seem to be enough to satisfy the creativity of the youtuber Cultural Guttural . Although there are quite a few interactive and light-up LEGO toys out there, no official product lives up to what this content creator has come up with.

Taking advantage of the same technology that we use in mobile phones to be able to charge them without cables, the youtuber has modified a set of LEGO Transparent Bricks by introducing small colored LEDs inside the pieces that are lit by induction . The work of modifying each little brick with a couple of small lights must have been tedious, but without a doubt, the result is well worth it.

Cultural Guttural has hidden a 5-volt induction charger under a large LEGO base to hide the trick a bit. Inside it has used a generic device, exactly the same as the one you can have at home to charge your iPhone or Samsung. The magic happens when you place the LEGO pieces on the base, as they light up automatically just by bringing them close to the area. The youtuber assures that he can stack up to five pieces without losing their shine, and up to eight in total until the magnetic field stops having its effect. All this is possible thanks to a light kit that he bought on AliExpress, and that costs approximately 20 euros.
