Xiaomi’s New Cheap Mobile: 120 Hz screen and 108 MP Camera

Earlier this week, the Digital Chat Station portal claimed in a post on Weibo that Xiaomi‘s Redmi sub-brand will soon launch a budget Android phone with a 108MP camera. So far, nothing fierce than normal since today it is common to find cheap smartphones with 64 MP cameras and doubling this resolution would be the logical step in the industry.

The same insider has now revealed more information about the upcoming device in a new post. According to the new rumors, the smartphone will not only sport a high resolution camera but a screen with a very high refresh rate. The phone will have a 6.67-inch FHD + display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

A cheap Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro?

These characteristics are precisely what we can find today in the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro, one of the phones with the best value for money of the year that is designed to support variable refresh rates reaching 144 Hz. This mobile also looks on its Inside a Snapdragon 865 processor, which could be the big change compared to the hypothetical cheap smartphone of the brand.

But sure, the 120Hz display won’t be the only standout feature on the upcoming Redmi phone. It is also expected to feature a four camera setup with the aforementioned 108 MP main sensor which should be accompanied by a wide angle and, we assume to save costs, a depth lens and a Macro sensor. It would be very rare if Xiaomi wants to lower the cost of the device, it would also bet on housing a telephoto lens in its photographic department.

As revealed by the leakster who has detailed all these features of Xiaomi’s cheap mobile future , Redmi is likely to use Samsung‘s ISOCELL HM2 sensor, which was announced in September to bring this camera to life. In addition, it has also been leaked that its battery could reach 4,800 mAh, with support for fast charging with 33W cable.

At the moment we have no idea what mobile it could be and it hits us more that it is a Poco F3 Pro rather than a hypothetical Redmi Note 10. We also have the doubt of whether it will be a phone that is sold internationally or the same thing will happen than with the Redmi K30 Ultra, one of the best phones of the firm launched in China in terms of value for money.
