Each time it becomes difficult to choose between a mobile or another among the huge range of brands and models available in the market. Among the best sellers of the moment are the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and the Motorola Moto G7 Plus . They are two terminals that we can buy for less than 160 euros and that offer very interesting technical features in that price range. Today we wanted to compare both terminals to see their main differences and advantages of one over another.

The mid-range market has tightened so much that its prices are those of the entry range a few years ago. This means that for less than 200 euros we have authentic beasts that can meet the needs of most users. In the Redmi Note 8 and the Moto G7 Plus we have two examples.

Screen and dimensions

The first thing that catches our attention is that both terminals have a similar screen size, with 6.3 inches in the case of the Redmi Note 8 and 6.3 inches in the Motorola terminal. Both devices have FullHD + resolution but the Redmi is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 against the Gorilla Glass 3 protection of the G7 Plus. The pixels per inch are slightly higher in the Redmi with 409 dpi brakes at 403 dpi of the G7 Plus.

However, the Motorola terminal is victorious in the weight and thickness section, although it is not by much difference. The G7 Plus weighs 176 grams and is 8.3 millimeters thick. The Redmi Note 8 reaches 190 grams and 8.4 millimeters. We see that the two teams wear a front notch to house the front camera.

Processor and memory

Regarding the processor, the Redmi Note 8 has a certain advantage as it was launched several months after the G7 Plus. That’s why we found a Snapdragon 665 inside , while Motorola integrates the Snapdragon 636 . The difference in performance is notable in favor of the Redmi chip, as well as the energy efficiency when facing 11 and 14 nm processors respectively.

Snapdragon

The two versions compared have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, which are the most sold on Amazon at the moment. The two terminals allow you to expand this memory using microSD cards.

The cameras

In the section of the cameras, the passage of time and the difference between the launches of one and another team rebalances the balance on the side of the Redmi Note 8. The Xiaomi mobile has four rear sensors led by a main lens of 48 megapixels, to which you have to add a wide angle, a macro sensor and a four ToF sensor. For its part, the Moto G7 Plus mounts a dual rear camera at its rear of 16 + 5 megapixels. The two terminals have a 13 megapixel selfie sensor housed in the front notch.

Battery and charge

However, when we take a look at the batteries section, we see an important difference. The Redmi Note 8 reaches 4,000 mAh with a fast 18W charge , while the Moto G7 Plus stays in a limited 3,000 mAh but with a superior fast charge of 27W . The autonomy section is clearly on the side of Redmi Note 8.
