Xiaomi Redmi always arrive with a good quality / price ratio label. Sometimes it is so true that the Redmi models themselves come to almost compete with each other, making the purchase decision difficult for users. Today we wanted to make a comparison between the Redmi 9T and the Redmi Note 9 Pro, two terminals whose official price starts from the same 199 euros, but which are very different from each other.
We are facing two terminals that focus on well differentiated aspects. We are not facing one of those cases in which several sections of the hardware are so similar that it is difficult to choose one or the other. Rather, we see how where one falters the other shines and vice versa.

Screen, weight and thickness
If we start by taking a look at the screens, we see that the Redmi 9T sports a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel and FullHD + resolution, which has a notch to house the front sensor. For its part, the Redmi Note 9 Pro, has a screen with the same technology and resolution, but with a size of 6.67 inches, which changes the old notch for a hole in its screen to house the selfie sensor.
The aspect ratio is different, being more panoramic in the Redmi Note 9 Pro with its 20: 9 compared to the 19.5: 9 of its brother. Both have the same 395 pixels per inch, but the Note 9 Pro pushes the frames a little more with an 84.5% use of the front, compared to 83.4% of the Redmi 9T. It should also be noted that the screen of the Redmi 9T is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 compared to the Gorilla Glass 5 glass of the Note 9 Pro. Unfortunately, the refresh rate is not an element in which neither of them stands out and can take advantage, since that both have hit the market with a standard rate of 60 Hz.
There are also substantial differences in the weight and thickness of both devices, the Redmi 9T has a weight of 198 grams and 9.6 millimeters, compared to 209 grams and 8.8 millimeters of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The protection is less in the Redmi 9T with Gorilla Glass 3, compared to the Gorilla Glass 5 glass of the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
With the seal of Snadragon
The processors of both terminals are also different, and that will show in performance. The Redmi 9T integrates the Snapdragon 662, while its brother does the same with a more powerful Snapdragon 720G. The Redmi 9T only has versions with 4 GB of RAM, but with 64 or 128 GB of expandable internal memory. The Note 9 Pro goes up to 6 GB of RAM with the same 64 or 128 GB of storage. Both have the USF 2.1 standard for reading and writing files, but the curious thing comes when we see that the 64 GB Redmi 9T has the UFS 2.1 standard
Looking at the results in AnTuTu to compare the performance, we find almost a technical tie with the 265,000 points of the Redmi 9T compared to the 274,000 points of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. In this sense, you will hardly notice differences in day-to-day use, and The two will move the most popular games and multitasking with ease.
Four cameras in both
The two terminals have four rear cameras, although once again with very different approaches. The Redmi 9T has a 48 megapixel main sensor , an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle and macro and depth sensors of 2 megapixels each. For its part, the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 64 megapixel main sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor and macro and depth sensors of 5 and 2 megapixels each.
On the front, the Redmi 9T has an 8 megapixel sensor, housed in the front notch, compared to the 16 megapixel sensor that is located in the screen hole in the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Given its more modest character, the Redmi 9T can capture video at a maximum of 1080p and at 30fps, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro can shoot at 4K resolution, also at 30fps.
Connections and battery
Neither of the two teams has 5G connectivity, but other attributes appreciated such as the 3.5mm jack for headphones, NFC or Bluetooth 5. They also have a fingerprint sensor located on one side and both move with MIUI 12. In the section on the battery there is another important difference, and that is that the Redmi 9T has a large capacity of 6,000 mAh compatible with fast charging of 18W. For its part, the Redmi Note 9 Pro reaches 5,000 mAh with a 30W load.
Similar prices
As for prices, both terminals start at 199 euros , in the case of the Redmi 9T in its 4GB + 64GB variant, while those 199 euros offer 6GB + 64GB in the case of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. This is so for The Redmi Note 9 Pro has dropped in price, which makes the processor and cameras, the scale tilts on the side of this terminal. If, on the other hand, you need more battery and the camera numbers are not what you are looking for, the Redmi 9T may be your best option.
