Xiaomi and Qualcomm Will Allow You to Configure Your Mobile to Play as on PC

There are those of us who resist going through the hoop. No, playing on a mobile phone is not the same as playing with the comfort of a console or a PC. However, both Xiaomi and Qualcomm know that the gaming public in the telephony sector is increasingly broad, which is why they have joined forces again to make playing with the mobile phone more and more similar to playing with a computer.

Many current smartphones have features to improve gaming performance, such as Huawei GPU Turbo and Oppo Hyper Boost technologies. Xiaomi is not far behind and among its different optimization technologies we find Game turbo as well as the different dedicated performance modes that increase power and the energy management of the system in general. However, it seems that Xiaomi and Qualcomm could take things to a higher level.

Configure every graphic aspect of the mobile

Ice Universe claims that both manufacturers are working on a new Game Turbo suite for the rumored Mi 10 Pro Plus. The images show the ability to choose different GPU performance profiles, that is, default, save energy, balanced, high quality and a custom profile so that we configure the graphics chip of the phone at our whim depending on the game to run, working with some PC- like settings like anisotropic filtering, texture filtering, and smoothing.

From what we can see in the photos it is a compendium of settings similar to the Nvidia Control Panel on PC but it is not clear if we are going to see it in all the brand’s mobiles or only in the future beast in which it is working Chinese manufacturer. It is also not known whether developers would explicitly need to support this new version of Game Turbo in their applications to take advantage of these tweaks.

At this point, since Qualcomm is fully involved in the development of this technology, it is logical that many wonder if this novelty for mobile gaming can also be used on smartphones from other manufacturers or is there an exclusive agreement with Xiaomi . For the moment, neither of the two brands has made statements regarding it, so it will be necessary to wait for the presentation of the Mi 10 Pro Plus to have more information about these new capabilities of Game Turbo.
