The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is Updated with 24-hour Sleep Tracking

Waiting to know everything that awaits you in the Mi Band 6, the Mi Band 5 is Xiaomi‘s latest smart bracelet, very similar to the Mi Band 4 but with some other improvement at the level of screen, load and software. It is precisely in this last field where now the Xiaomi device receives news thanks to the latest update released for the bracelet.

Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is Updated

Xiaomi wants to improve its appeal by announcing a new update that brings with it new features. The latest firmware update for the Mi Band 5 (v1.0.2.46) adds new languages to the bracelet, Indonesian, Greek, Vietnamese and Hebrew, which is not very interesting. But this is not the case with your new improved sleep measurement tool.

Among the main novelties of the update, the support for 24-hour sleep monitoring stands out, which makes the bracelet the first of its series to be able to boast of this function.

Precisely the sleep monitoring is one of the great ballasts of the bracelet since those of us who are used to using it see how many times the results are not exact (and we are not talking about minimal errors of minutes, but of hours). With this update for the Mi Band 5 we hope that these errors will be corrected since the bracelet will also monitor all the time that we are asleep throughout the day.

How do I update the Xiaomi bracelet?

Unfortunately, this update is currently only available for the Chinese version of the bracelet and has not yet been seen by the global version. However, it is to be imagined that we should not have to wait too long to update the device, as you already know, through My Fit.

To update any Xiaomi Mi Band you will have to resort to the Mi Fit app, which upon access will alert you that there is a new version pending to be installed. If not, run the app, access the Settings menu located at the bottom and, once inside, check the Check for updates option.

If you have an update pending download on the Xiaomi Mi Band 5, the app itself will alert you to it and download it. Then keep the bracelet next to the phone so that the update syncs completely via Bluetooth.

It is to be imagined that this new version of the software for the bracelet will arrive in our country during the first weeks of 2021.
