Xiaomi Mi Band 5: Leaked Images. Real or Fake?

Little by little the Mi Band 5 begins to come out. After the first leaked details about its new features, today we came across an image of what could be the expected live bracelet. Everything indicates that we will continue to enjoy a very traditional model in terms of design, so do not expect great advances in that regard.

The design of the Mi Band 5 will look familiar

Xiaomi Mi Band 5: Leaked Images

As we can see in the leaked images on the Weibo social network , it seems that the Mi Band 5 will continue betting on the traditional design in the form of a pill. The first images of the device allow us to see a design very similar to the Mi Band 4 , with a small screen and a touch button on the front to control the menu.

Given what has been seen, it seems that those images that ensured a large screen bracelet with almost invisible edges have been completely forgotten, and that was already too advanced for us to arrive in the form of a smart bracelet for 30 euros. What’s more, in the latest rumors there was talk of a 1.2-inch screen larger than the current 0.9-inch Mi Band 4 (which would translate into 0.5 centimeters more diagonal), but seeing These last images, it seems that there will not be too much apparent growth, so we will see if this Mi Band 5 becomes one of the best smart bracelets of 2020.

Are these real images from the Mi Band 5?

Taking into account the detail of the screen, we could think that the images are not real and we are dealing with another type of device that does not belong to Xiaomi, but we must also take into account that we can see some interesting changes. One of the images shows that the charging adapter will have two pins this time that will be in charge of making contact with the lower part of the bezel of the bracelet, changing the lower location of the Mi Band 4 and returning to the system that we already saw in the first Mi Band.

This change in the charging system could be related to the presence of the new SpO2 sensor , which in case of increasing the thickness of the lower area of the bracelet, may have forced the manufacturer to relocate the charging contacts. Anyway, there is nothing confirmed, so we should not take anything for granted.

It may be a simple joke from a user who has decided to use a Mi Band 4 in a charging base of a Mi Band 3 , or we may definitely be looking at the first images of a Mi Band 5. If so, what you think?
