Preparing the 8K
You may not have 8K TV at home, and you probably have enough left to have one, but at least now you can say that your living room is ready for it. That is exactly what Xiaomi proposes with the new Mi Box 4S Pro, a multimedia player device that has HDMI 2.1 output to enjoy the maximum resolution that can be offered on the market today.
Unless you have a Canon R5, it is going to be quite difficult to enjoy a lot of content at that resolution, but hey, better to ignore it than to fall short in a few months. This new version of the famous player of the brand will be able to reproduce content in 8K resolution, thanks to the processor that already incorporates the HDMI 2.1 video output, a connector that you will necessarily need to reach that resolution (in addition to the appropriate HDMI cable).
The equipment is completed with 16 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM, also including a Bluetooth remote control with voice controls. As expected, the device will initially be launched in China on November 5 with a price of 399 yuan (about 50 euros to change), and will be accompanied by the MIUI operating system (no trace of Android TV). Its price is undoubtedly an extremely attractive bet, since the lower version, the Mi Box 4S with 4K playback and 8 GB of internal memory, is currently placed at 40 euros (in the Asian market).
