Xiaomi Announces the 7 Great News of the Mi Band 5

We will not waste time. We will go into details soon, but, as this image advances, these are the 7 great novelties of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 or, in other words, what changes with respect to the Xiaomi Mi Band 4:

1. Extra large screen
2. Improved sensor
3. Magnetic charge
4. Up to 11 new professional sports modes
5. Mobile payments through NFC
6. New way of women’s health (menstrual cycle).
7. Remote control mode to take photos.

Fixing the weak points of the Mi Band 4

Although it is the most sold, that does not mean that there are no series of weak points in the Mi Band 4. To start, the charging method is somewhat uncomfortable and, for this reason, the Mi Band 5 will finally lose this old method of load. Until now, Mi Band users have had to remove the wristband module from the silicone strap to charge it, but now Xiaomi is finally adding magnetic charging to its new device. As shown in this image, they simply have to connect a small magnetic charger to the back of the new Mi Band, without having to detach device and strap.

Xiaomi has also detailed some interesting updates and features such as a 20% bigger screen compared to the Mi Band 4 and better fitness trackers with updated sensors, although the brand does not specify which ones exactly. Xiaomi also claims that it is adding improvements for sleep tracking, stress and respiratory health monitoring.

In addition, the new teasers confirm the characteristics of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 previously leaked such as tracking the menstrual cycle of women and the remote control of the camera, in addition to adding 11 sports modes. The brand, once again, has detailed that the bracelet arrives with NFC support, however, the global availability of the bracelet with this desired function remains unconfirmed. Neither is the support for Alexa mentioned in the advances that have been rumored for weeks.

Luckily, all these confirmed features and rumors will meet next Thursday, June 11 at the presentation of the new Mi Band from Xiaomi, where we can also put an official price on the device.
