During the morning of today, the first renders of the future Xiaomi 13 Pro whose landing would be scheduled for the first months of next year 2023 have come to light. The images show a large camera module with the presence of Leica, which would be the great asset of the Chinese brand with its new generation.
There are still a little more than two months to go into a new year, but the community can no longer wait with the expectation of seeing the first sensors from Leica outside of China. Despite the fact that the Xiaomi 12T Pro was presented a matter of two weeks ago with its 200 MP camera and a series of enviable specifications, there are those who prefer to wait for what will be the top of the range of the Asian technological giant.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro with Leica camera revealed
A first glance is enough to appreciate that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will not boast a lens of gigantic dimensions as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra does with its 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. Leica collaborated directly with the eastern entity to contribute their grain of sand and take the cameras to the next level. An association that was present in the last mentioned device, as well as the folding Xiaomi MIX Fold 2.
Now, the company is preparing to bring this class of lenses to European countries for the first time, and the result is expected to generate a lot of attention. The Xiaomi 13 Pro would equip a large square-shaped triple camera module with the Leica stamp on the back. To such an extent that it would exceed half the width of the phone.
The collaboration with Leica on the 12S Ultra model brought us important news for mobile photography, such as the possibility to choose between two image options : Leica Classic and Leica Vivid. In addition, it integrates a fully customized Leica filter, a classic shutter sound and many other interesting options, which we would love to see in the future flagship of the company.

At the moment there is nothing confirmed by Xiaomi itself, since it is usual to maintain secrecy until the end. The Xiaomi 13 Pro would be presented for China next November according to rumors, but we have to wait for the entity’s announcement.
The leaks indicate that the new generation of smartphones will leave behind one of the main characteristics of previous mobiles, the curved screen. Instead, the Xiaomi 13 would show off a flat panel unlike the three devices that come from it. On the other hand, an increase in screen size is expected from 6.28 inches to 6.36 inches.
It is a no-brainer to think that it will carry the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor which is due to be unveiled in the coming months as it plans to become the dominant Android chip. The main camera would have a 50 MP sensor from the Sony IMX8 series and would enjoy optical stabilization.
There shouldn’t be much left for Xiaomi itself to make the Xiaomi 13 presentation event official, so we have to wait a little longer. For now, we can only settle for this type of information.
