WiFi 6E Equipment Certified by the WiFi Alliance

The Wi-Fi 6E standard is here to stay, in this article we have already talked about all the advantages of WiFi 6E over the previous WiFi 6 , and that is that we are going to have new frequency bands to avoid interference with other WiFi networks, In addition, we will be able to use channel widths of up to 160MHz without any problem of interfering with our neighbors and even with ourselves if we use different professional WiFi access points. Today in this article we are going to show you all the certified devices with WiFi 6E, many of them are not yet on the market, but they will be in the coming months.

Certified Routers with WiFi 6E

We currently have a large number of WiFi Mesh routers and systems that are certified with WiFi 6E, but there are still a few months to go before they go on sale in Spain. We must remember that the new frequency band has recently been approved in the EU, therefore, there are still a few months to go before this equipment can be marketed.

WiFi 6E Equipment Certified by the WiFi Alliance

All the equipment that we will list below are top-of-the-range equipment, with simultaneous double band and even simultaneous triple band, making use of this new standard. We must remember that this WiFi 6E standard is exactly the same as WiFi 6, but we will have a frequency band in the 6GHz additionally, ideal to avoid interference with the WiFi networks of the 5GHz band.

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000

This router will be the top of the range of the manufacturer ASUS, it will be exactly the same equipment as the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX1000 with simultaneous triple band. In the 2.4GHz band we can achieve a speed of up to 1,148Mbps, in the 5GHz band we can achieve up to 4804Mbps of speed, and finally, in the 6GHz band we can achieve up to 4804Mbps. This model is the top of the manufacturer’s range. It has all the wireless technologies such as Beamforming, MU-MIMO, OFDMA in all frequency bands, band-steering and also WiFi roaming.

Regarding the rest of the characteristics, they are very similar to the GT-AX1000 router, it is as if it were an update of this router that has given us such good results.

Linksys Atlas Max 6E

This Linksys Mesh WiFi system has recently come out, it also has simultaneous triple band with WiFi 6E. In the 2.4GHz band we can achieve a speed of up to 1,148Mbps, in the 5GHz band we can achieve up to 2402Mbps speed, and finally, in the 6GHz band we can achieve up to 4804Mbps. This model has a Qualcomm quad-core processor at 2.2GHz speed, of course, we have all WiFi technologies such as MU-MIMO, OFDMA and it also has WiFi roaming because this equipment is its WiFi Mesh system.

One feature that we liked a lot is that it has the possibility of configuring WPA3-Personal in all frequency bands, in addition, we also have the possibility of configuring OWE to leave the WiFi network without authentication, but with encryption. Finally, it has a total of 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports for the LAN and also a 5Gbps Multigigabit port for the Internet WAN.

Linksys Hydra Pro 6E

This Linksys router has also been on the market very recently, it also has simultaneous triple band with WiFi 6E. In the 2.4GHz band we can get a speed of up to 574Mbps, in the 5GHz band we can get up to 1201Mbps of speed, and finally, in the 6GHz band we can get up to 4804Mbps. This model has a Qualcomm quad-core processor at 2.2GHz speed, of course, we have all WiFi technologies such as MU-MIMO, OFDMA and it also has WiFi roaming because this equipment is its WiFi Mesh system.

This router has a 1.8GHz Quad-Core processor, we also have four Gigabit Ethernet ports for the LAN and even a 5Gbps Multigigabit port for the Internet WAN. Other features are that it incorporates a USB 3.0 port

NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E

This router is the top of the range of the NETGEAR manufacturer by incorporating WiFi 6E. In 2.4GHz we will get up to 1,148Mbps, in 5GHz up to 4804Mbps speed, and in the 6GHz band we can get up to 4804Mbps. Other fundamental characteristics of this model are the incorporation of Beamforming, MU-MIMO and OFDMA in all frequency bands, finally, we have a total of 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports for the LAN, a 2.5G Multigigabit port for the LAN, and also a Gigabit Ethernet port for the Internet WAN with support for VLANs.

Other features are the incorporation of 2 high-performance USB 3.0 ports, in addition, it has a Quad-Core processor at 1.8GHz speed, therefore, we are going to obtain great performance.

TP-Link WiFi 6E equipment

The manufacturer TP-Link has also launched its routers with the WiFi 6E standard, which were presented at CES 2021. The models that this manufacturer has launched are the following:

  • TP-Link Archer AX96 (Router)
  • TP-Link Archer AX206 (Router)
  • TP-Link Deco X96 (this is the WiFi Mesh system)
  • TP-Link Deco X76 (this is the WiFi Mesh system)

WiFi 6E certified WiFi cards

Currently the only WiFi card certified to the WiFi 6E standard is the Intel AX210, the same Intel AX200 card that we used in benchmarks, but supporting the new 6GHz frequency band. Thanks to the fact that this Intel AX210 card will be in a large number of devices such as motherboards, PCIe cards from other manufacturers and laptops, the penetration of WiFi 6E in homes will be really fast.

Other chipsets that also have the WiFi 6E certification is the Broadcom BCM4389 that can be in different devices, we also have the Infineon AIROC, LG Innotek, Maxlinear WAV664, MediaTek MT7915-AP-AX, Mediatek MT7915-STA-AX, ON Semiconductor QCS -AX2, Qualcomm Networking Pro 1210, Qorvo QPF4656 and QPF4632.
