Where you are and the conditions of the area
On many occasions, the GPS of your mobile or the location does not work well because of the place where you are at that moment. You will notice it especially if you are inside the house, in that on some mobiles you will see that it is not as precise as if you are on the street.
But beyond that, factors such as tall buildings or floors , tree cover, mountains, satellite conditions near you, not many and many others can affect the signal you receive and this makes GPS not working as it should.

The weather can also harm you, even if it is a temporary situation. There are so many factors that can affect you that it is rare that one does not occur with some frequency.
Cheap cell phones do not have dual band GPS
If you have a high-end mobile you will not notice it as much, but cheap mobiles do not have dual-band GPS and therefore it will not work as well.

For this reason, even if you see that your mobile has GPS, it may not be updated to the latest technology that offers greater quality and precision of service . This is able to better overcome the obstacles that arise in the service and reach our mobile earlier, offering us a smaller margin of error with respect to our precision.
This is very important in services like Google Maps, but not only that but in your day to day.
GPS is easily out of calibration
One of the most frequent problems with some mobiles is that the GPS can tend to go out of calibration easily , which makes us confused and we do not know what is happening or why it fails. For this reason, one of the first checks that you should do frequently is the calibration of the GPS of your mobile.

A good way to calibrate the GPS of your mobile is from Google Maps because of its ease of doing so. You just have to click on the blue circle where it puts your location and click on Calibrate the compass. If you follow the prompts, doing eights until you are told that it has a high accuracy, you will solve the problem in many cases.
You don’t have the best location accuracy
Another thing that can happen is that you do not have the highest location accuracy on your mobile, so it will not be as accurate as it should be. Luckily, you can correct this from your mobile settings.
You just have to go to the Location section and look for the Google location accuracy option to check it. Depending on the model, it may be in location services or another option, you just have to search for it.

Also, if you want to check that you have the best precision in a specific app , go to this same option (Location) and where it says Application location permissions, select one and check the Use precise location option if it is not already.
