WhatsApp stickers arrived in 2017 as an alternative to emojis. Bigger, with more different designs and with more freedom than emojis. Now, the messaging application would work to make using them even easier.
To access the WhatsApp stickers, we simply have to touch the Emoji icon and go to the bottom, where we can choose between Emoji, GIF or sticker. Here are all the downloaded packages and we can use the built-in search engine to quickly find the one we want to send to that chat. But soon, the option to find the right one will be even simpler.
New sticker suggestions
WhatsApp is developing a new function that would allow us to quickly find the sticker we want to put on. What the new tool will do is analyze the first word that we have written in the chat bar and, if it matches a sticker that we have saved in the library, it will show it as a suggestion.

The application will anticipate our search, showing us suggestions for stickers when sending them and based on what we are writing, as can be seen in the video published by WABetaInfo with which it would be a new update.
When there is a suggestion, the tag icon will turn blue and you can click on it to see what it recommends. Once you have seen the options, you can decide if you continue writing as if nothing else or if you choose some of the stickers.
At the moment, the function is in development. An update on both WhatsApp for Android and WhatsApp for iOS is expected to arrive soon, but it has not even reached the beta version of the mobile messaging app yet. We will remain attentive to know all the details once it is launched.
Available for official packages
At the moment, according to WABetaInfo, the new WhatsApp function would only be available for the application’s official sticker packs and not for third-party stickers, although it is expected that it will also reach, in the not too distant future, those created by the own followers and uploaded with a specialized tool such as Sticker Maker.
As explained from the aforementioned medium, the stickers created with applications would not be available yet but the developer ensures that he is working on “a new update” that supports this function and will announce it when it is fully developed.

Other features coming soon
Just a few days ago we heard the news that WhatsApp had launched new sticker packs for the messaging service. Six new packages including an anthropomorphic rabbit, a dancing bear, a cheese with a life of its own, a woman in the shape of a cactus or a dove.

In addition, it has been known in recent days that WhatsApp prepares new functions as a tool that will allow us to review a voice message before sending it in order to check if we like how it has been, if it sounds good or if we have decided to delete it in instead of sending automatically. And, among the novelties, the possibility of migrating the entire chat history between operating systems is also expected soon. There are many changes that have been discovered and that we will be counting and announcing in the coming weeks.
