Before, it was a service reserved for a few mobile phones and privileged operators. Virtually all models on the market are now compatible with VoLTE calls. In addition, if your mobile is compatible they will be activated automatically , so you will not have to do anything. You will simply experience better sound quality and you will notice that the connection between pressing the call key and the first tone is practically automatic.
What are WiFi or VoWiFi calls
Unlike the VolLTE calls that are made through the data connection, Wi-Fi calls, known as VoWiFi, are made whenever our mobile phone can be connected to a Wi-Fi network . In this way, we can call any number from ours, even if we are in an area without coverage, as long as we are connected to a Wi-Fi network. Also, the person who will receive our call does not need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
These calls are rarefied in the same way as a traditional call, so roaming or special rate numbers are subject to the rate of our contract, even in the case of a Wi-Fi call.
How is it used?
In this case, the number of compatible mobiles and operators is more limited, although it grows day by day. In Spain, operators such as Movistar, Amena, Orange and O2 offer the service. In addition, unlike VoLTE calls, if it must be activated from the options within our own mobile, generally within the settings, going to the wireless connections section.
