Instagram is a social network that offers us a wide range of topics for all tastes. There are beauty accounts, others for photography, art, fashion and yes, there are also accounts that only publish photos of kittens. Why do I need multiple Instagram accounts?
This is perhaps the most important question that may come to mind. The main reason is that, as many people are already doing, you like to do different things in your day to day and want to share them through this incredible social network. But of course, if your hobbies are very different, the best alternative is to separate them into different accounts .

How to set up multiple accounts on Instagram
Adding a second account to this app is very easy. You just have to go to your profile and click on the sandwich menu at the top right. Here you must enter the “configure” option. Now go all the way down in this menu and locate the “add account” option. Now you have two possible options:
- Sign in to an existing account.
- Create an account: in this case you will need to follow the entire process that involves creating a new Instagram profile, as you did the first time you entered this social network.
In our case we are going to log into an existing account. Once you have entered the username and password, you can start using that second profile in parallel with the one you already registered in this application.
How to switch from one account to another on Instagram
But of course, it is useless for us to have two logued accounts on our phone if we do not know how to switch between them .
To do this process, there are two different ways to switch between the profiles in which we are logged in. The first, although it is a somewhat slower way, is from our own profile . We just have to click on the account name that appears at the top and, automatically, a popup menu will appear that will give us the option to switch between the different profiles.
In the second way and the one that, in our opinion, is the most comfortable, we will only have to press and hold the avatar photograph (in the lower right) that we are using at that moment. After holding down the photo for a couple of seconds, that same menu will appear that allows us to switch between accounts.
