How to Upgrade the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 to MIUI 11

The Redmi Note 7 has been one of Xiaomi‘s best selling mobiles in the last year. For a few days the smartphone can already be updated to MIUI 11 although, yes, based on Android 9 Pie and not Android 10 as many of the users would like.

However, although the software has been available for download for some time, many of the owners of the cheap phone have not yet been able to pass MIUI 10 . No problem, we leave you the two main ways to update your phone, either automatically or manually.

Update via OTA

Normally, when there is a system update, the mobile itself tells you that you can already download and install it, but if you got here, it is because this has not happened to you. What we can do is “force” the MIUI 11 update notice for the Redmi Note 7.

  1. Access the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Phone Information.
  3. Select System Update.
  4. If you do not see an update notice, on the top right click on the three-dot icon.
  5. Choose the option to download last package.
  6. When finished, select the update package.

As long as there is an update package pending downloading on the mobile, MIUI will show its availability and, in this case, you can install MIUI 11 .
