When a new update arrives on our mobile phone, we all know the trance we must go through. First you have to wait for the end of the beta period, then for the release by regions of the operating system and, lastly, receive the update via OTA for the smartphone.
The case of Realme is not too different, but the manufacturer’s website has a support center that greatly facilitates the operation, allowing you to download the latest updates available for each model without having to wait for the firm itself to notify you of update your mobile using the classic on-screen notice.

From the links that we leave you just below these lines you will find the two versions of the operating system that the mobile manufacturer works with: Reas e UI and ColorOS, the two personalization ROMs of the brand. Currently we have the first version of Realme U I for various brand devices and ColorOS 6.0.1 for the affordable Realme 5.
If you miss mobile phones like Realme 6 , Realme 6i or Realme C3 in this list, it is because smartphones are already on the market with the latest version of the operating system installed. However, as soon as a software revision is published for any of them, they will be added to the support center.
How to install the update manually?
There are two ways to proceed with the installation of Realme UI or ColorOS on your smartphone: from the phone’s own operating system or by accessing Recovery mode:
- Classic mode : Download the file downloaded in the previous step to the phone memory and access the File Manager app. Locate the firmware and click on it to select the Update Now option and wait for the update to be carried out following the on-screen instructions.
- From Recovery: Transfer downloaded firmware to phone storage and turn it off. Turn it on again by pressing and holding the Power and Volume Down buttons, until the phone enters Recovery Mode. Select the English language and select the option “Install from storage device” choosing the internal storage or the MicroSD card (where you have saved the installation file). Select it and click Update.
Remember that before carrying out any update process, either from a Realme mobile or from any other brand, it is mandatory to make a backup of your files so as not to lose any type of information if something fails during the process. Similarly, it is recommended to have more than 50% of the battery charged and, of course, not interrupt the installation process or use the mobile phone until the update is complete.
