In-ear headphones offer advantages over other proposals on the market. One of the main ones is its passive noise cancellation capabilities. The problem is that by their own design they are not usually the most comfortable for a good number of users. Ultimate Ears is convinced that it can change all that with its UE Fits, headphones that “melt” in your ear to better adapt.

The world of headphones is full of options of all kinds. There are not only them of different prices and with different technologies, but also with the most varied designs and some particular characteristics that seek to stand out from their direct competition. For example, in recent months we have seen proposals that even bet on automatic disinfection systems thanks to the use of ultraviolet lights in the case where they are stored.
However, until now we have not seen (or do not remember) any headset that had the ability to conform to any type of ear . And we don’t say that by doing things like changing the ear cushions of the in-ear type so that they better grip each user’s ear, but by directly molding them when you put them on.
This is what Ultimate Ears proposes with their recent UE Fits and it must be admitted that at least they are very curious for that ability to “melt” inside your ear. But let’s take a good look at how this new system works with which they seek that improved adaptability.
UE Fits, how your molding system works
The UE Fits are initially one more in-ear headphones , although their design already begins to attract attention as soon as you look at them for the first time. They are somewhat reminiscent of those silicone earbuds used by some hearing impaired people, which are almost custom made to fit the shape of the wearer’s ear.
The big difference is that these UE Fits can be adapted as many times as you like. To do this, they have a system of LEDs that make the material of the headset itself, the pad that you insert into your ear, be able to deform until it fits your ear perfectly . And all that in less than a minute.
This is accomplished through the UE smartphone app. When you put the headphones on, the LEDs are activated and the gel material of the pad begins to harden and that makes the headphones fit better inside the ear. Something that, incidentally, would offer a better sound experience by also avoiding the entry of noise from outside without subjecting the user to that pressure inside the ear that could be uncomfortable during long periods of use.
Without a doubt it is a very striking proposal and taking into account the quality of the manufacturer in terms of sound, it could be very interesting for all those who have not yet been able to find headphones of this type that are comfortable for them.
The “problem” is that they are an option with a somewhat high price if later they are not able to offer this much more comfortable experience that it promises. The UE Fits cost 249 euros and for the moment they will only be available in the United States. But we will be attentive to the first analyzes to see to what extent they are indeed what they promise to be.
