On the powerful Windows-based desktops we use on a daily basis, we sometimes deal with thousands of different files. These can refer to text documents, installed programs, videos, music or photos.

Reduce their size if they take up too much space
It can also be the case that we have a huge number of high-quality photo files that take up an excessive amount of space . That is why we may be interested in reducing the size of these files before storing them on disk drives.
