As technology advances, our mobile cameras are becoming more professional, offering us better resolution and therefore also influences the storage space we need. Luckily in our Huawei mobiles we have the option to transfer the photos from the internal memory to the SD card and leave the internal space for applications or other content.
To pass our photos on Huawei mobiles from internal memory to SD cards we have two options, the first and most basic is connecting our mobile to the computer, choosing the files we want to move and taking them to the SD card. Despite this, we also have the option to move them without the need for other tools, only with the file manager of our Huawei mobiles.
Move photos from internal memory to SD card
The first thing we need in this case is to have a mobile that has compatibility for SD cards , which a large majority already have. Then we only have to choose which is the Micro SD card that we need in our mobile and insert it through the SIM card tray. Once it has been recognized, we only have to go to the File Manager that accompanies EMUI in all its versions on our mobile.
From this administrator we will enter the folder where we have stored the photos , which for the most part the route is usually: Internal storage> DCIM> Camera. Just by holding your finger on some of them, the option to move will appear at the bottom and then let us choose the destination between the internal memory or the SD card. With this simple process we will free up space on our Huawei mobile and we can extract the card to use it on a computer when we need it.
Save all your photos to SD card
To avoid encountering the storage problem again, we can change the default place where the photos we take with our mobile are stored. We will do this by entering the camera app, going to its settings and looking for the option to save to the SD card by default.
From that moment we will not have to repeat the process to move our photos to the SD card, only with the images that are sent to us through WhatsApp or images that we edit in external applications. Even so, the storage that we will occupy will not be the same that we reached when all our high-resolution photos were saved in the internal memory of our Huawei mobile.
