If you are launching a Xiaomi mobile you will be happy with him, but not so much because you have to transfer all the photos and files to the new mobile. However, this happens because you do not know that Xiaomi tries to make things easier for you from the first moment you open your mobile and therefore offers us a tool with which to transfer photos and files to the new Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco mobile in a matter of seconds .
The only thing we are going to have to do is use a tool that is already included in MIUI and where, therefore, all we need is to install ShareMe on our old Android mobile regardless of the customization layer or the Android version that it has. Then we will give way to the configuration of the application with which we can choose exactly what we want to pass via WiFi Direct so as not to consume data and take too long.
How to prepare the Xiaomi mobile to receive everything
In our new mobile we will not have to go to the Files application that is by default in MIUI. Once inside we will touch on the drop-down menu and we will find the option “Transfer files”. Tapping on this option will ask us the first time to accept the terms of ShareMe and a series of completely secure permissions.
Later we will have to choose a name for our new mobile and an image to identify it. Subsequently, we choose the option My Move and mark that we are the recipient, and then go to the old mobile to complete the process.
Steps on the old mobile to send photos and files
In this case, as we have mentioned before, we will have to download the ShareMe application and configure our mobile with an identifying name and an image as well. Then we will not have the Mi Mover option at our disposal, as it is only on Xiaomi devices, although it will be just as effective.
- The option that we are going to use to send photos and files to Xiaomi mobiles is the one to send that appears large.
- Then we choose photos or complete albums. We recommend doing it first with the photos and later with the files so as not to generate an error.
- Once we have everything selected we just have to click on Send.
How to finish the process
In the old mobile we will have the possibility to scan the QR code that appears on the new Xiaomi mobile or touch on the name we gave it, once it is around. Then we have to confirm the process with the secret number and in a matter of seconds all the photos and files will be matched and transferred without us having to do anything else.
To check that all the photos and files have been sent correctly, we go to the MIUI gallery and its files, checking that everything is where it should be.
