What is a TikCode?
For everyone to understand easily, TikCode are nothing more than business cards that we can scan to access and follow other users on TikTok. In short, it is a barcode or QR code in which certain information from a profile is stored.
Actually, the TikCode is not something new in this social network. Using this type of code is something that is already in use on other social networks such as Instagram or Snapchat. They are elements that facilitate interaction between users of a social network and, in addition, it is a simple way to attract many others from other social networks . We just have to share this TikCode in an Instagram post, for example, and encourage people who follow us on that social network to also do so on TikTok.

How to create your TikCode
Now that you know everything important about this new TikTok feature, we are sure you will want to create your own . This process will not take you more than 1 minute:
- Log into your TikTok account and access your profile by clicking on the “I” icon in the bottom bar.
- Once here, click on the icon with the three dots that you can see in the upper right part of the screen to access the settings.
- Within this menu you will have to access the “TikCode” section . Your own code will automatically be created that you can show to other people so that they can follow you as easily as possible.
Customize your TikCode
If you look closely, this code shows your profile picture right in the center. If you don’t like this image and want to customize the code with another, you just have to:
- Change your avatar photo from the “Edit profile” section.
- Create the TikCode again and save it as an image in your phone’s photo gallery.
- Put the old profile picture back.
Done, now you have a custom TikCode that shows an image other than your profile photo and, even so, anyone who scans it will access your account without problems.
How to scan another user’s TikCode
Once you have this TikCode, at the bottom of the screen you will see two different options:
- Save to the device : by clicking on this section, an image with your code will be downloaded as a photograph to your gallery. This is the one that, as we mentioned before, you can publish on other social networks so that other users start following you and your number of followers increases rapidly.
- Scan : simple and fast. Clicking on this option will open a new screen with access to your phone’s camera. From here you will be able to scan the codes of other creators. Doing so will directly open their profile so you can start following them.
