Solar energy is one of the most widely used and popular renewable energy sources since it takes advantage of a clean and unlimited resource such as the Sun to produce electricity. However, there are countries in which there are huge solar farms full of these plates and that help to supply energy to entire populations.
That is why we bring you a list of the largest solar panel farms in the world. It is striking that many of these structures are found in both India and China.
Capacity to supply thousands of houses
The Datong Solar Park in China can produce up to 1000 MW of power and is responsible for promoting the application of state-of-the-art solar products and industrial modernization.
The idea is that it will have a capacity of 3000 MW , although at the moment it is only in its first phase.
With the same power capacity is Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park , which occupies an area of 24 square kilometers.
In India there is the NP Kunta Ultra Mega Solar Park that occupies a total of just over 32 square kilometers. Although this structure now has 900 MW of power, in its first phase it only gave 200 MW in 2016 for two years later to try to increase the power by 750 MW.

The most powerful solar plant in the world is located in the same country. The Bahdla Solar Park has a capacity of 2,245 MW and has enough capacity to supply electricity to millions of homes in India. Its surface occupies up to 5,700 hectares of land.
