Logitech has just announced the renewal (or rather expansion) of its renowned MX Master series of PC peripherals, a family to which they add two new mechanical keyboards (the full-size MX Mechanical and the MX Mechanical Mini , in TKL format) and a new mouse, the MX Master 3S, offering excellent tools to maximize productivity. Digital creators are extremely demanding users when it comes to peripherals, and they are always looking not only for the best comfort to spend hours and hours working, but also for unprecedented performance that allows them to maximize their productivity. For these reasons, Logitech has now released its revamped MX Master series, and we have to say that these peripherals are now better than ever.
Logitech MX Master 3S, the most versatile and silent mouse
Logitech is surely the best-known brand of PC peripherals in the world, and it is not in vain that they have been in the industry for several decades, a time in which they have always carried innovation as their flag. The new Logitech MX Master 3S represents the pinnacle of innovation (at least when we think of content creators), improving on the previous version in many key ways to make life easier for the user.
Thus, this new model retains the highly appreciated ergonomic design of the previous version, but now integrates an optical sensor that is not only more precise than the previous one, but also faster since it now has a resolution of up to 8,000 DPI , which of course can be configured and adjusted to the user’s taste. This sensor also works on literally any surface, including transparent glass .
The clicking noise in mice has a distinctive sound, but one that is not to everyone’s liking. That’s why Logitech has integrated a click-quieting membrane that reduces noise by 90%, making the MX Master 3S the quietest mouse on the market. In addition, one of the most appreciated features of these Logitech mice has always been their ability to scroll infinitely , something that remains in this mouse but in an innovative way: with what they call MagSpeed Electromagnetic , you no longer have to press a button to release the wheel and make it infinite scroll, but it has a magnetic retention mechanism that, when you move the scroll smoothly, makes the characteristic and controlled “click”, but when you move it fast you automatically infinite scroll.
For the rest, the mouse still has the additional horizontal scroll wheel and programmable buttons, including the thumb button, that were so popular in the previous version of the mouse.
MX Mechanical, mechanical keyboards for productivity
As for the two keyboards (which are really the same but the Mini version is TKL, without a number pad), they offer the latest generation of low-profile mechanical switches , among which the silent tactile model (brown switch) stands out, which is, according to the manufacturer, its quietest mechanical keyboard to date. There are also options with a blue (clicky sound and tactile feedback) and red (linear) switch, and one detail is that they are designed with two-color keys for an optimized peripheral view.
These keyboards have intelligent backlighting that detects when you’re not using it to dim or turn it off to save battery life, and also automatically adapts to ambient light thanks to the built-in sensor. These keyboards are compatible with the new Logi Options+ software, in Beta version, which allows you to configure each individual button, create specific profiles for applications, configure lighting, etc., so that the user can always configure it as they prefer, thus maximizing your productivity.
Like the mouse, these keyboards have low-latency, low-energy Bluetooth technology for connection to your PC, but also integrate a patented Logi Bolt connection for more reliable and secure data transmission, even in congested wireless device environments. The keyboards allow you to connect up to three devices at once, including PCs running Windows or MacOS, but also iPadOS, Android, Chrome and Linux.
Price and availability
These three new Logitech products will be available in the manufacturer’s online store starting June 1, 2022, and a little later they will arrive in the usual stores that sell brand devices.
The prices at which they will be sold in the brand’s official store are €202 for the full-size MX Mechanical keyboard, €176 for the mini model, and the MX Master 3S mouse has an official RRP of €135.
