Let’s say that in the web page of this article we want to create a subdomain for a Blog. We can create the subdomain itigic.com/blog . That would be just a subdomain. It would be a new page within the same domain.

The interesting thing here is that this subdomain is short, that it faithfully reflects what we want to show. For example what we mentioned about “Blog”. We must not use phrases or combinations of words that excessively lengthen the subdomain that we are generating.
Why use a subdomain
Subdomains have the function of better organizing a web page . It allows the reader to locate himself in the section in which he is, but also to the webmaster to offer a higher quality content, more orderly and according to what he wants to show.
Also, for very large platforms, it can serve to avoid saturating the main domain with an excess of visitors. We can distribute those users in different subdomains that we have created.

How to create a web subdomain
This will depend on the hosting that we are using, but the normal thing is that we must enter the cPanel. Once inside we must go to the Domains section and there look for Subdomains to be able to create them.
If we have several domains contracted or managed with that hosting, we must choose in which of them we are going to create the subdomain. We will also have to put the name that we want to assign it.
From that moment on we will have created our subdomain. Keep in mind that we can create as many as we want, as long as the hosting we are using allows it. Some may be limited.
