SteelSeries has presented the new Aerox 3 Wireless , a new gaming mouse that offers something that many users are convinced they wanted and, perhaps, still did not know: resistance to water, dust and something else. A feature that, as you can imagine, will give a little more peace of mind when you play with a glass of water, soda or coffee.

The SteelSeries mice may all look very similar, but there are minor differences that orient them to a specific audience. In the case of the new SteelSeries Aerox 3 there are several features that will surely convince many.
The first and most striking is not its design, we will talk about that later, but its IP54 protection. Yes, like other electronic devices, this protection allows it to resist water, dust and other elements such as oil, among others. This oil may be key for those who are risk takers and gamble while eating pizza and other types of fast foods.

The first one is that it maintains that perforated design that provides two clear advantages. On the one hand, a greater lightness when compared to other proposals. Even so, it is (apparently in previous models) a mouse with enough consistency to allow precise use of it in all kinds of situations and even games. On the other hand, the design allows the hand to be a bit more airy and that reduces sweating problems while playing.
Another important novelty is the finally inclusion of a USB C connection . Through this you can not only charge the integrated battery and take advantage of a fast charging system, but also use it while you are doing it. Once the charge is finished, you can continue using it without a cable, either taking advantage of its Bluetooth connection or the 2.4 Ghz connection.
Of course, here you have to know that with Bluetooth the autonomy is 200 hours , while with the 2.4 Ghz connection it will only reach 80 hours. A difference that is justified by the higher performance of the second when offering a very fast connection between mouse and PC.
By the way, as a detail, although the mouse includes USB C, the adapter is USB A. Something that is partly logical and less annoying than the efforts of many manufacturers to maintain the micro USB connection. With all this and a design that despite being designed for right-handed users (due to the buttons on its side) is also perfectly usable by left-handed users.

Along with this wireless version that we have shown you, SteelSeries has also launched a wired variant that for a price of only 69.99 euros allows you to enjoy the same level of protection against water and dust, the same lightness and that particular drilling design that, in addition, allow the RGB lighting inside to stand out much more.
However, put to invest, it may be better to bet on the 109 euros of the wireless model and those advantages that we have. Although here it is always you as a user who must choose and assess which one is more interesting to you based on needs and uses. In case other mice and trackpads don’t convince you.
