There are games that are true wonders that, incredibly, go unnoticed by the vast majority of users despite being wonders that should be enjoyed. It is obvious that not everyone likes the same titles, but it is surprising that, depending on their origin, they receive more or less attention from the main media. Sky Children Of The Light is one of those little gems that should have more voices capable of singing all the good things it is capable of offering.
A fun, beautiful and classy game
It was in the summer of 2019 when Sky Children Of The Light first came exclusively to Apple mobile devices. Both iPhone and iPad received practically exclusively the new creation of Thatgamecompany which, for all those who don’t put a face to it, are responsible for jewels like Flower and Journey , both on PS3 although later they have enjoyed adaptations to PS4, etc.
With that letter of introduction, the point that Apple achieved in the face of other publishers was more than remarkable but, unfortunately, all the expectations generated around the game and the innumerable delays, overshadowed the shine it deserved in the first initial versions. Leaving aside that it did not arrive at that time for PC or consoles, this Sky Children Of The Light surprised us with its incredible staging , its enormous class when it comes to transmitting its history to us and, of course, the joy of enjoying a A different concept with gameplay mechanics that were far from what we normally see in titles focused on smartphone screens.
After that first launch on iOS, the Android version arrived, in mid-2020, and the Nintendo Switch version in 2021, respecting the same original concept and with all the content that was added. But nothing, it was still a minority title, with hardly any media attention when it comes to one of the best we’ve enjoyed in the last five years. And on top of that for free!

The fact is that Sky Children Of The Light arrives just around this time on PlayStation , where we can download it completely free from the PlayStation Store itself, although, obviously, we will later have some in-game purchases that are what keep the business alive. We can’t pretend we’re surprised by these things because no one gives away their work, much less one as perfect as that of this wonder from Thatgamecompany.
The game is still suffering from the ignorance of a large part of those who star in the chronicles of the specialized media, who often do not look beyond the big franchises and AAA, which are the ones that sell. This absence of voices that support it is an evil that has afflicted us for some years, since many of the jewels that deserve to be played are not on the sidewalk of large companies but in the painstaking work of small teams that work with little means. but with very clear ideas.
Like Flower or Journey at the time, which, unlike Sky Children Of The Light , came to PlayStation before anywhere else. Something that, the same, favors that troubadours appear like mushrooms ready to always sing the same feats.
