Huawei has started a new recruitment of users who want to try EMUI 10.1 as long as they have in their possession a Huawei P40 or a Mate 30 series mobile in China. This new program would be the last with respect to the version of EMUI based on Android 10 as the brand is already looking for ” betatester” for EMUI 11.
Earlier this year, Huawei began recruiting volunteers to test the new features of EMUI 10. Following the announcement of EMUI 10.1 in late March with the launch of the P40s, Huawei changed this new beta program of features from EMUI 10.0 to EMUI. 10.1 beta. Now, after the announcement that EMUI 11 will be released on September 10, this beta activity will be migrated to EMUI 11 beta.
The EMUI 11 beta
EMUI 11 will be launched at the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2020 to which we are all invited next Thursday, September 10. As you might imagine, even if it is an AOSP version, it will be based on Android 10 and will come with many new features and system improvements, some of which have already been advanced.
Currently, Huawei is recruiting users who want to test the EMUI 11 beta whose only requirement is to have one of these phones:
- Huawei P40
- Huawei P40 Pro
- Huawei P40 Pro +
- Huawei Mate 30
- Huawei Mate 30 Pro
- Huawei Mate 30 5G
- Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G
- Huawei Mate 30 RS Porsche Design
- Huawei MatePad Pro
- Huawei MatePad Pro 5G
After launch, EMUI 11 beta will open for more devices and Huawei will share its plan for the full beta update roadmap. It will be then when we know all the mobiles in the brand’s catalog that can be updated to Android 11.
Join the beta program
The way to access the EMUI 11 beta is the same that we have already seen in the Huawei ecosystem to install the EMUi 10 and 10.1 beta.
You must download the app called Beta from the official Huawei website , created to facilitate the process of updating the mobile phones of the Chinese brand and offer both developers and new users an easier way to access beta versions of EMUI.
Once we have installed the app, we open it and accept the terms and conditions. We will have to log in with our Huawei account that we have installed on the device in order to automatically check which terminal we have. If there is a system beta available for your Huawei, it will appear on the screen.
