Our mobile is full of photos, either those that we have taken ourselves or the huge amount of images that we receive via WhatsApp and other applications. In agreement that the screens of our mobiles are getting bigger, but seeing the photos on TV is still a more complete experience to be able to see them in a large size, something ideal when we want to share them with other people.
A classic: you arrive on vacation and gather the family to show them the photos of the trip. All those heads crowded around the screen of our mobile is not something very practical. For this reason, the best option is still to launch the photos on television from our mobile phone, to be able to see them in a large size and go through all the available ones in the gallery.
See the photos on TV
The best option for this purpose remains the Google Chromecast, since it is fully compatible with all mobiles (from Android 4.4) and of course, with any television, whether or not it is a SmartTV. The main requirement is that our mobile and Chromecast are on the same Wi-Fi network in order to launch this type of content. Although we talk about photos, we can also send the videos we have in our gallery through the same system.
With Google Photos
The next step is to open the Google Photos application, which Google recommends as it is fully compatible with the Google device. However, there are as many other apps or photo galleries that are compatible with Chromecast. In this case we will use Google Photos as an example , since it has installed by default in most Android mobiles. Launch the photos
Once Google Photos is open, we will see all the photos and videos that we have stored on our mobile. Now we will only have to touch in the upper right corner, and touch on the content transmission icon, which is represented by a rectangle with the classic connectivity signals. Now we will have to click on our Chromecast and then touch on any photo or video of the device to see it on television. In order to change what appears on the screen we will only have to slide the photos, while to stop transmitting the content press on the same button that we pressed at the beginning and tap on “Stop transmission”
There are plenty of alternatives
As we say, many applications are compatible with Chromecast to be able to send the photo gallery to the phone. Some of them are owned by Google itself as “Files” , which allows us to take a look at all our files and see the photo gallery on TV.
