How to See All the WhatsApp Photos in Your Xiaomi Gallery

More and more users are complaining about a failure that is repeated in many versions of MIUI . When photos or videos are received by WhatsApp, some of the pampering does not appear in the Xiaomi gallery . For what is this?

The incidence is repeated in both new and old models, where users repeat by active and passive that having the instant messaging app well configured, they still cannot see the photos within the MIUI gallery , something much more comfortable obviously.

It has been about a month since I bought the Xiaomi Redmi 6 and I realized that the photos that were sent to me in the gallery are not saved. I talked to a friend who has the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and she told me that she if they were saved so we tried different ways how to update WhatsApp, change the WhatsApp configuration, change the folder of WhatsApp images in the internal memory to that of dcim and vice versa. But nothing has worked.

If they send me 100 images to WhatsApp, only 6 will appear in the gallery. What I can do?
To try to solve this annoying fault or error, the first thing is to know which side the problem is on, whether it is the app owned by Facebook or the mobile you are holding.

Is it your Xiaomi or WhatsApp’s fault?

WhatsApp allows you to save or not the multimedia files received at the user’s choice. For all the photos in the app to appear in the gallery of your Xiaomi smartphone, the first thing you have to do is mark the correct option within the mobile settings.

To do this, open WhatsApp, access the App settings by clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right corner, and enter the chat options. Inside here you will find the option that will allow you to view the files in your phone’s gallery.

Use the MIUI file manager

If, even with this option checked, you cannot see the WhatsApp photos and videos in the MIUI gallery , you have to use the phone’s file manager. The reason is that, on many occasions, the images that we receive through the messaging app are not saved in the corresponding folder, but are being saved in the private WhatsApp folder .

To locate them, you must resort to the MIUI file manager and navigate through the internal memory (or the MicroSd, in case of using it as internal storage) of your mobile until you locate the WhatsApp folder. Once inside you will see that there is a file called Media, which is where all the multimedia files are.

If you are looking for photos, you will have to enter WhatsApp Images and locate a folder called Private and there will be all the images that you cannot see. If what you are looking for are videos, you should access the WhatsApp Video folder.

If after reconfiguring WhatsApp and locating the lost photos, the failure repeats, try reinstalling the messaging app or installing a previous version from APK Mirror .
