Our mobiles have many functionalities that we normally overlook. Some of the ones that we use the least are accessibility, and today we look at one that gives us access to various aspects of our Samsung mobile .
The menus to access different areas of our mobiles have become common in many manufacturers, through different smart bars that always offer us direct access to different features of the terminal. This menu is somewhat similar.
Support menu, what is it?
We are facing one of the most useful accessibility functions of Samsung mobiles. This feature basically offers us direct access to the most important functions of the phone, from the same menu. In this way we can have at hand, without practically moving our fingers, different areas of the phone and shortcuts with which to carry out the most common tasks.
When we activate this function, a floating icon appears, which is accessible from any area of the phone, and in which by clicking on it we can see different options related to navigation in the terminal. For example, we have the possibility from the same panel to do the following:
- Access Android navigation buttons
- Turn off screen
- Select volume
- Take screenshots
- Display the notification panel
- Zoom the screen
- Access the phone’s shutdown or restart menu
- Turn that area of the screen into a Touchpad
- Control display
- Access the menu settings
In this way we have access to different aspects of the phone that can be useful from the same place. Just like the other day we were talking about Samsung’s one-handed mode, this feature could also be seen as something similar, a way to access different tasks on your Samsung with a single finger and from any app and area of the phone in the that you meet.
How is this menu activated?
Well, it is very simple, because it is an option present in the One UI settings. And we can easily activate it in the following way:
- Enter your Samsung settings
- Select “Accessibility”
- Click on assistance menu
- Activate the menu
