Samsung decided long ago to push its update policy more strongly. The Korean company has stepped on the gas and now updates more models than ever, faster than ever and for longer than ever. You just have to remember that your high-end and many Galaxy A series terminals will now receive three years of operating system updates.
Following this plan, the good news now comes for owners of a Samsung Galaxy A70. This device has just begun to receive its update to One UI 3.1, that is, the Samsung layer based on Android 11. Let us remember that the last major operating system update for this terminal, arrived at the end of last year with One UI 2.5 based on Android 10.
The Galaxy A70 finally with Android 11
The news, collected by SamMobile, includes reports from several users in Ukraine, the first country where this new version for the Galaxy A70 has been launched. This means that the arrival of the Galaxy A70 from other European markets including Spain, is imminent. The update is rolling out in batches, and it’s arriving with firmware version A705FNXXU5DUC6 . As is usual in such an important update, its weight is 1.9 GB.
We can wait for the system to notify us of the arrival of this new version, although we can also try to force the update by entering Settings / Software Updates and touching Download and Install. It is important to remember that you must have enough space to download the update and enough battery so that it installs without problems and we do not have scares in the middle of the process.
Once updated, the user will perceive great changes at the aesthetic level, with a renewed, cleaner interface and with more intuitive access to the menus. In addition, all the new Android 11 security options are integrated. For example, privacy can be protected when sharing photos by removing their location before sharing them on social networks.
There are also some major changes, as for example Wi-Fi Direct will no longer be available to send files to other devices, as Samsung premium Nearby Share. In addition, users who use their Galaxy A70 to cast content to Chromecast, will now have to do so from Google Home instead of Smart View. How could it be otherwise, this important update is accompanied by the latest Android security patch, pertaining to the month of March 2021.
