During the IFA we had the chance to see a new Samsung smartphone focused on connecting with everything that surrounds us and at the same time affordable for all budgets. Specifically, it would be called Samsung Galaxy A42 5G and although we were able to know some of its characteristics, we were missing some as important as the brain and processor in charge of making everything come true.
As on other occasions, the Geekbench tests of the Galaxy A42 5G have let us see that data that we lacked, so that we know it fully and we can know what is special about this mobile for becoming the cheapest model with 5G, thus adding to the complete catalog of 5G mobiles. It is an octa-core processor with two cores at 2.21 GHz and six cores at 1.80 GHz, combined with the Adreno 619 GPU.

A microprocessor recently presented by Qualcomm and which promises to revolutionize communication thanks to 5G technology and its low price. A brain that fits within the 700 series and will try to get the best out of the budget Galaxy A42 . The processor is capable of supporting up to 120 frames per second, HDR and WiFi 6 technology so that the speed is maintained inside and outside the home.
The results of the cameras are also related to the processor to use artificial intelligence in photography along with bokeh mode and other instant results. It has the capacity to record video in 4K with 30 frames per second and its equipment in RAM can surprise us with up to 12 GB. However, we will not see all this in the Galaxy A42 5G and we will have to wait a little longer to find out along with its price.
What is confirmed from the Galaxy A42 5G
The design keeps the drop in the center of the 6.6-inch Full HD + Super Amoled display . At the back we could already see a square format to leave enough space by integrating the 48 Mpx cameras, a 5 Mpx depth sensor in charge of portrait mode, in addition to the wide angle and a 5 Mpx macro sensor in both cases.
The 5,000 mAh battery is one of the strengths of this model that could get through the day without problems, combining it with a fast charge of which more data is known. Without forgetting that the fingerprint reader will be under the screen.
What we would be missing to know about the Galaxy A42 5G are its RAM and memory configurations, as well as the price and that information about fast charging. We hope it doesn’t take long, being able to see it officially before the end of the year.
