Riot Games is expanding the League of Legends universe and is doing so by bringing its characters and stories to a wide variety of genres within the world of video games. Now Greg Street, vice president of entertainment at Riot Games, has revealed that they are working on a new massively multiplayer online game or, what is the same, an MMO.
League of Legends makes the leap to MMOs
Greg Street, Vice President of IP and Entertainment at Riot Games, recently revealed on Twitter that the company is developing a new title based on the entire League of Legends universe . A news that a priori would not surprise, since we have already seen numerous proposals such as Legends of Runeterra, Wild Rift or the recent Ruined King, but this time it may be worth stopping.
As he briefly commented on the bird’s social network, this new proposal from Riot Games will be neither more nor less than a massively multiplayer online game or as it is often known, an MMO. That is, a title in the purest style of World of Warcraft, Guild Wars and the like. The key will logically be to be based on that universe that through its MOBA has conquered so many millions of players around the world and has practically only won the title of the most played game in eSports.
Unfortunately, as you may already be imagining, beyond the confirmation that it will be an MMO there are no details, no screenshots, or anything at all .
