Welcome to the villa
In Resident Evil Village we will put ourselves back in the shoes of Ethan Winters, who after suffering the traumatic experience of the Baker farm (Resident Evil VII), now returns to the charge after seeing how his daughter has been kidnapped. These events lead him to a mysterious castle, where he will soon realize that terrible stories await him.
There he will meet terrible inhabitants, each one more terrifying, and we will enter a new adventure that we will probably regret at the first minute. Today’s video has given us the opportunity to see the first gameplay of the game, where we have been able to see the inventory management (very similar to Resident Evil VII), the merchant known as El Duque and some of the enemies with whom we will come across through the terrible corridors of the castle.

In the images in which luxurious rooms have been seen, we have been able to see an excellent handling of light and reflections, something possible thanks to the ray tracing that the game will offer (in addition to 3D Audio).

But before you think that you will be able to hit shots, we must tell you that the demo is not part of any section of the story. Under the name of Maiden (maiden), this demo was born from a technical demo that allowed to show the interior of the castle, so the developers have decided to build on that idea.
The result is a creepy walk of someone who is trapped in one of the castle cells. According to the creators, the character has nothing to do with the history of Ethan Winters, since the events occur long before the appearance of the protagonist in the castle. However, it seems that if you play the demo and complete the game you could find some other connection. Could it be the story of someone who died in the castle? Be that as it may, you should try to escape, and in the process solve the odd puzzle.
