One of the most important novelties of MIUI 12 in the aesthetic and functional aspect is the Xiaomi control center . What until then was very similar to the stock Android options, in this latest version it changed to look much more like what we find in the iPhone. This is not to everyone’s liking and luckily we have an option at our disposal to recover the classic accesses.
In addition to our personal tastes, we can also prefer the old style of shortcuts in Xiaomi because its operation is much easier. In the new control center we have to slide our finger from the right or left depending on what we need, access the shortcuts or notifications. To avoid this, you just have to follow the simple steps that we are going to show you.
How to remove the control center on Xiaomi
The only thing we have to do on the mobile to recover that style of notifications and accesses that we long for is in the options. With MIUI 12 the options have changed aesthetically but not in a functional way and to access them we only have to find the quick access on the home screen. Once inside the settings we will follow these steps:
- We look for the “Screen” option in the Settings.
- Then we go to the System section and touch on “Control center and notification bar”.
- Later we look for the option “Use the new control center” and deactivate it.
This option is activated by default, although we think that it would be best if when updating the mobile or turning it on for the first time they asked us. Now we just have to lower the quick access curtain on Xiaomi and see how the style has changed to what we were looking for.
A big change for our mobile
As we show you in the image on the left, the control center offers us a series of shortcuts where we directly have up to twelve accesses to touch and start using them. In the classic however we only have five, but by sliding again we will have access to all we need. In both cases they can be personalized with the small button on the pencil. Aesthetically the change is very broad, but there are other aspects such as the background that do not change so much.
The notitions in the old center are under the charms and in the new one, you have to slide the screen from the left side. The good and positive thing about the options in MIUI 12 is that we can choose what we like the most in each case, to be content with the software and that its changes do not affect us if we do not want to.
