With the arrival of the Android 11 version to smartphones, an option with many possibilities has been established in the Android landscape. It was something very desired and demanded, which is finally integrated properly, we refer to the possibility of seeing the notifications deleted from the mobile again , since we have all inadvertently tilted a notification that deserved to be read.
Whatever the reason that leads us to want to recover notifications, we will be able to do it in Android 11, although there are also some tricks that will allow us to enjoy this option on other smartphones. As it is a relatively new novelty, many aspects must be taken into account and it is normal for the questions to multiply, so we will try to answer them all.
Notification history in Android 11 is the key
To be able to recover the notifications in Android 11 past, we only have to take advantage of the notification history for it. This option allows us to have a record of all the notifications that reach us on the mobile phone and to be able to look at them whenever we need them. Although as we mentioned, this method only works in Android 11 and in future versions but not in the same way for the previous ones.
To activate it, we must follow the steps that we show you:
- We access the mobile Settings.
- Then we touch on Applications and notifications.
- We choose Notification history.
- And finally we activate the function.
Ways to view deleted notifications
Once we have activated the history with the steps that we have shown you previously, we only have to learn how to consult the history . This can be done in two different ways and in March chaos it will be useful to re-read the deleted notifications from the Android mobile.
The first of the methods is the simplest, because we only have to lower the notification bar, when we have at least one notification present and we can choose the small option called “History” that appears just below them on the left side. If we do not have any pending notification but we want to access the history, we will have to follow the activation steps: Settings> Applications and notifications> Notification history and here it will be.
Is there a way to see notifications before activating the history?
Unfortunately, if we had not yet activated the notification history, we will not be able to see the old notifications on the mobile again . In addition, if we activate and deactivate this option, all the registry that we had until then will be deleted forever and we will not be able to recover it.
The trick to have the history in Android 10 stock
Before this option reached mobile phones with Android 11, Google itself already had a hidden option inside that allowed access to the notification history. If your mobile uses Android without customization layers, you can use it with Android 10. You just have to follow these quick steps:
- We keep our finger on the screen and choose Widgets.
- Click on Access to Settings.
- Next we choose Register of notifications.
What it does is add a quick button to the home screen to check the history , an option that allows us to take a generation jump on Android 10 mobiles.
Does the notification history work on Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme or Huawei?
The question that many will ask themselves when they know the option to recover deleted notifications on Android is whether this possibility is also found in One UI, MIUI, Realme UI or in EMUI among the rest of the layers. Unfortunately for most, for now only Samsung phones with Android 11 can enjoy this functionality in the same way that we have explained.
The other manufacturers have not been encouraged to implement this change, although it is expected that they will do so soon so that more users can take advantage of it. Until then, you just have to wait and try not to delete notifications too quickly.
