Realme: How to Delete Applications from the System

Virtually all brands include default applications in their terminals. Even those who boast a clean coat can include bloatware to a greater or lesser extent . Realme‘s mobiles also integrate their own applications, which although useful for many users, others want to be in control and be able to delete those that they don’t need.

Before continuing, it should be noted that deleting the default applications involves taking some steps on our terminal, which always involves risk. Therefore, in our site we are not responsible for the possible damages that you may cause to your terminal as a result of this tutorial. The process is not very different from what we have seen when we want to delete the pre-installed applications of other brands such as Xiaomi.

How to uninstall system apps

The method will allow not only to remove the Realme applications that we do not need , but also those from Google that we may never enter, such as Google Play Books or Google Play Movies. This will allow us to get an extra storage space that is always appreciated.

Developer options

The first step is to access the Android developer options. To do this, press 7 times on “Version” in Settings / Phone information / Version. In this way we will activate the Development menu that we can access from Settings / Additional Configuration. Then we go down to the section “USB Debugging” and click on accept.

ADB and Fastboot

The next step will be to connect our mobile to the computer. For this we will have to install the ADB and Fastboot tools . We can install Minimal ADB and Fastboot from this link. Once installed we will see a folder at the root of our hard drive called “adb”. This will open the command window, so the next step is to connect the terminal to the computer with the USB cable having USB Debugging activated. Then we will have to write the command “adb devices” to check if our mobile is recognized.

adb fastboot realme

Removing apps

Once ready, we can execute commands to remove the application we want. To do this, we will have to type pm uninstall -k –user 0 name of the application to remove. The command will delete the application that we write after zero. Below we leave you with some examples of how to remove some default applications:

realme adb comandos

Facebook pre-installed:

  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.facebook.appmanager
  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.facebook.services
  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.facebook.system

Pre-installed Google applications (Gmail, Maps, Talkback, Youtube, Calendar, Keep)

  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.google.android.gm
  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.google.android.apps.maps
  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.google.android.marvin.talkback
  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.google.android.youtube
  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.google.android.calendar
  • pm uninstall –k ––user 0 com.google.android.keep

At this point it is recommended to be very sure of which applications are deleted , since many of them may require a factory reset to reinstall them. In order to have a more precise control, it is recommended to use the command pm list packages –f that will give us complete information about the apps pre-installed on the system.
