To get Alexa to start playing relaxing sounds, we are going to use some skills developed by Sleep Jar, which include a large number of relaxing sounds related to environmental effects, nature and, in general, white noise that will help you fall asleep in a way more calm and relaxed.

Are they paid?

All the sounds offered by these skills are completely free, however, Alexa may offer you a payment option to enjoy some additional benefits. These benefits include getting high-quality playback quality and being able to enjoy enhanced loops of up to 10 hours in length.

How to Play Sounds in Constant Loop

We said that one of the options of the Sleep Jar premium subscription is to enjoy improved loops, but in reality Alexa itself can take care of it if you ask for the appropriate command. By default, when you ask Alexa to play one of these sounds, it will keep it active for an hour, however, you can command it to do so continuously by giving it the following command “Alexa, tell Storm Sounds to play keep going”.

This command will be activated by default, so every time you ask for a sound it will play in a constant loop until you stop it manually.

Thus, we will ensure that the sound remains constant throughout the time, being able to enjoy that background noise throughout our rest period. Once you want to stop the sound, you just have to say “Alexa, stop”, and the sound will stop playing.
