With the integration of this new option, it has managed to free us from problems about the data that we are delivering when sharing photos in MIUI 12 , allowing us to be totally anonymous.
So that you can also take advantage of this function, we are going to teach you how to activate it on your mobile and we will also show you how a photo changes when shared in a traditional way and with the extra privacy that Xiaomi offers us . The best of all is that this option is open to all mobiles and we do not have to have a specific model to be able to take advantage of it, only have MIUI 12.
Steps to share private photos on MIUI 12
To start taking advantage of this option, what we have to do is go to the native gallery of our Xiaomi mobile, where we will have to enter one of the photographs to carry out the process that we show you:
- We will touch on the lower icon to share the photo.
- Before choosing the application, we have to look at the top and touch the blue button where it says “Privacy protection”.
- This will open a tab where we have to mark the options to share without metadata and share without location information.
This option will be saved by all the other photographs on our mobile, but to make sure we can re-enter the gallery, touch on the top three points and enter settings. Here we will mark the same privacy options in MIUI 12 that we just used in case they are disabled.
How photos change with this option
To detect the change in the photographs, we only have to check it ourselves by sending us a photograph through a WhatsApp group, email or any other means with the option activated and deactivated. Entering the gallery and touching on the details of the photo we will see the great differences that we show you.
On the left we can see a photograph with all the data, where we can see the date the photograph was taken and if we touch on it it will take us to the place where it was taken precisely. Original information on the file is also offered with the name and even the mobile model with which it was made.
However, on the right we see the same photo shared with MIUI 12 privacy activated and therefore without giving any data about the photo , where the date that appears is the moment it was shared and nothing else. An essential option to ensure that there is no trace of our data or information from the photos we take with our mobile phone and that can then be circulated on the internet.
