Continuing its relentless pursuit of expanding its product lineup and asserting market dominance, Xiaomi is now in the process of developing the next additions to the POCO family, which has been making significant strides in Black Friday sales. The upcoming member of this family is none other than the POCO X6 5G, a smartphone set to bring about a revolution in the budget-friendly mobile market.
Recent revelations have shed light on this series, consisting of the POCO X6 5G and the POCO X6 Pro, both of which Xiaomi is actively working on with plans to introduce them in the coming months. These smartphones are poised to target the mid-range market segment, and their launch is expected sooner rather than later.

The POCO X6 5G’s Spectacular Features
Notably, industry insider Kacper Skrzypek has leaked fresh details about Xiaomi’s upcoming model. It appears that Xiaomi intends to repurpose China’s Redmi Note 13 Pro for the global release of the POCO X6 5G, albeit with one key difference – the omission of the Redmi model’s 200 MP primary camera.
This renaming strategy isn’t uncommon among Chinese smartphone manufacturers, who often rebrand existing models to market them under a subsidiary brand with identical specifications.
Therefore, if these reports hold true, it can be surmised that the POCO X6 will arrive with almost identical technical specifications to the Redmi Note 13 Pro. This includes a stunning 6.6-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, boasting a maximum brightness of 1000 nits for excellent visibility even in direct sunlight.
The device’s impressive features don’t stop at the screen. The POCO X6 will come equipped with 12 GB of RAM and a spacious 256 GB internal storage.

In the realm of photography, the POCO X6 5G is expected to feature a primary camera sporting a 100-megapixel sensor, capable of capturing incredibly detailed images. Additionally, it should include the same artificial intelligence system for enhancing photo quality based on various scenarios and lighting conditions, similar to the one found on the Redmi phone. For selfies and video calls, the front camera will house a 16-megapixel sensor.
The POCO X6 5G’s battery is another standout feature, boasting a robust 5,000 mAh capacity, providing more than a day’s worth of usage under normal conditions. Furthermore, the smartphone will support 33W fast charging, enabling a full recharge in just over an hour.
One lingering question is whether the smartphone will launch with Android 13 or the latest iteration of Google’s widely-used software, Android 14.
