When we talk, for example, about cybersecurity and ethical hacking, one of the most prestigious that we can download and use for free is Parrot OS .
Parrot OS is a Linux distribution focused on hacking. Similar to Kali Linux or BlackArch, this distro brings with it a series of tools and settings that make it ideal for everything related to ethical hacking and cybersecurity. This distro usually receives new versions periodically. Some of them, like the last 4.9, released on April 30, do not bring major changes and are only maintenance updates.

This new version 4.10 has also improved all the Linux meta packages, as well as bringing with it new versions of the developer programs, such as VSCodium 1.47.3, Python 3.8, Golang 1.14 and GCC 10.1.
New programs and a new desktop
Another important feature of this new version is that it now includes Greenbone Security Manager 11 , as well as a new vulnerability scanner based on OpenVAS 7 , which brings all the functions in a new software with the Debian packaging style. The new Metasploit 6.0 also comes by default, an improved version full of exploits, back doors and new polymorphic payloads.
AnonSurf is another of the main features of this distro. This tool was available in terminal mode, so that more advanced users could use it. Starting with the new Parrot OS 4.10, the new GUI has finally been included from which we will be able to monitor the status of Tor, see real-time traffic, logs, and perform actions such as starting, stopping, and reloading the daemon.
Finally, to indicate that, from now on, together with the MATE and KDE editions, a new version with the XFCE desktop will be distributed, ideal for users who want something light and fast. Of course, all kinds of bugs and errors detected in previous versions have also been corrected so that the operation of this system is as stable as possible.
