Make your backups and restoration copies
Once we execute the application, its intuitive user interface appears from which we can perform all operations without too many problems. The entire interface is completely in English . In the left column we find the Backup & Recovery functions, V2V Migration (which is only available in the commercial version or in Paragon Hard Disk Manager), Disk and Volumes and at the bottom the Settings function, from where you can modify some adjustments.
The interface shows detailed information about the basic MBR hard disk , the disk map and allows us to manage the system partitions (create, format, delete, hide or change the volume label).
Backup & Recovery
This is the main function of the program. On the right side of the interface we can switch between Backup tas (backup) and Restore from file (restore copy). If we click on Backup source we can choose the source from where we are going to make the backup, choosing between one of the three available options. We can choose the entire system, individual disks and volumes or files and folders.
Once the source of our backup has been selected, we must click on the Destination icon. In this way it will allow us to choose the destination . Once we have clicked, a new window will appear where we can select a local folder, an external drive or a network location where the backup will be saved.
At the moment that we have chosen both the elements of the backup and the place where it will be saved, new elements will appear in the interface. Here it allows us to schedule the backup, so that it takes place in hours where we are using the computer and thus does not influence our work by slowing down our PC.
We also see a tab with an Options menu, from where we can the type of backup and its compression. It also offers us the possibility to protect the copy with a password and indicate the space it will occupy. In addition, it will allow us to mark options to prevent the system from going to sleep during the copy, verify the integrity of the backup after creation, as well as turn off the system once the backup is created.
Once we have finished configuring the different options to carry out the backup, we will begin the process by clicking on the Back up now button . From here on, the program will take care of the backup, the total time of which will vary depending on the volume of the copy and the power of our computer.
