The options in technology do not seem to have an end and especially in mobiles, where we increasingly find more tools ready to facilitate their use. In OnePlus phones we find several tricks with the help of OxygenOS, designed to use our phone with gestures, movements and drawings in a much faster and more effective way.
All OnePlus phones with Android 10 and with the corresponding version of OxygenOS 10 we will be able to use these tricks. So that you can control and master it, we are going to explain you case by case what each one is for and how you have to activate them on your smartphone. Some are also present for Android 9 and Oxygen OS 9, which further expands the possibilities.
Quick functions on OnePlus lock screen
Surely you have ever found yourself in the situation where you have to unlock your phone quickly to search for an application and do some function, but this has taken us too long, something that luckily with OnePlus tricks will not happen again. To open tools and use them quickly we only have to go to Settings> Utilities> Quick start and activate it.
This tool will allow us to access the mobile payment system by NFC, scan QR codes, perform voice searches, send files and many other utilities. Once activated, we will only have to keep our finger on the fingerprint reader and once unlocked, move it from left to right to access these options. If the tools that come by default do not convince you, you will also be able to modify them and choose from many others by just tapping in this same section on “Shortcut settings”.
Gestures and movements with OxygenOS
The possibilities do not stop here, we also find other functions added to the OnePlus personalization layer that allow us to use the mobile faster. To start using it you just have to go to Settings> Buttons and gestures> Quick gestures, where we have several options that we explain below in detail:
- Flip to mute : When we receive a call we can put the mobile face down and the call will be muted without hanging up.
- Screenshot with three fingers : Just dragging three fingers on the screen will generate a screenshot that we can make extended.
- Lift to answer : Within this option we can choose between answering calls by bringing the phone closer to the ear and automatically answering with headphones
Drawings as instant access
On the OnePlus mobile lock screen, the options and functions multiply. Accessing the same route as previously, Settings> Buttons and gestures> Quick gestures, we will have the possibility to control various functions of our mobile and customize it:
- Music control : When we have recently used a music app we will be able to draw two lines on the lock screen to pause or play music and also arrows to go to the next or previous song.
- Draw letters : Within the four options they give us we will be able to choose the utility of each one of the drawings or use it to open apps that we have on our mobile.
